David served in the British army playing football for his battalion and played for many years semi-professionally and for local clubs up and down the country. Since leaving the military in 2017 his work in Close Protection as well as family commitments have stopped him playing but he still has the love for the game and huge ambitions in football hence the birth of Gloucester Athletic Football Club!
Dean's background is in IT and therefore focuses a lot on the strategic and pragmatic side of the club. Having played football previously but having to give up due to a knee injury, his love of the game has been very much focused on supporting Liverpool Football Club as well his local football. Being a very driven and ambitious guy, this was not enough to satisfy his love for the game hence the birth of Gloucester Athletic Football Club!
Richard played his youth football at Farsley Celtic FC, now part of the Vanarama National League North. After moving to South Wales aged 21, Richard joined Chepstow Town where he played Welsh League football.
Richard is an FA Level 1 qualified coach and assistant manager for Chepstow Town U18s.
Richard will be continuing his FA coaching badges whilst also studying for his Sport Coaching Science degree at Gloucestershire Uni.
Richard said he excited to be involved with this new club and is looking forward to working closely with Luke and the team.
Eric has played for Cheltenham Town as a youth, then moved to the USA and played for FC Miami, as well having the experience of training with PSG, Detroit City and Tranmere Rovers. Eric has previously coached at the PSG Academy in Florida, and has now started his own coaching journey with Edge Soccer Academy.
Jake is a FA Level 1 football coach and is currently studying a masters in performance analysis and is currently working as lead academy analyst at Forest green rovers. His background is originally in coaching having managed county level teams and working with Cheltenham town academy. But now has turned his hand to the performance analysis side of the game.
Mason is in his final year as a Sport and Exercise student at Bath University and is looking to specialise in S&C in postgraduate studies, having already undertaken additional courses in this area.
Most of Masons existing S&C experience has been at BUCS level across a variety of sports which has given him a wide variety of perspectives and understanding of the different demands of various sports.
Mason said “I’m looking forward to getting involved with this project, with the goals of reducing injury onset and improving athletic performance across the squad
Noah started his career with Nuffield Health where he gained an NVQ Diploma in personal training and a Certificate of Higher Education in sports massage therapy.
Noah then joined the British Army where he worked as a Combat Medical Technician, treating battlefield trauma and training other personnel in sports medicine. Since leaving the army he has now established The Ark: Yoga and Pilates in Tetbury, where his goal is to provide proactive musculoskeletal treatment and training to prevent injuries and improve movement.
Noah said “I’m proud to be joining The Legionaries as their clubs sports therapist”
Patrick is a SENr registered Sport and Exercise Nutritionist with an MSc from Liverpool John Moore’s University in Sports Nutrition.
Patrick has previously worked with England Rugby U18’s and Worcester Warriors Academy Aswel as giving talks and support to other professional athletes.
Patrick said “ I can’t wait to get started on a new challenge for me in men’s football and I look forward to helping the players and staff of Gloucester Athletic.
Kayleigh graduated from St Mary’s University Twickenham having completed an MSc in Applied Sports Psychology. Her studies have impressed upon her how powerful sport and exercise can be to utilise and enhance an individual’s life and overall, their entire well-being. She previously worked for the Ministry of Defence (MoD) within the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) Headley Court where she worked with elite military serviceman that were injured during combat.
She also has a vast amount of experience working across various sports, sporing teams, and athletes, including those competing at the Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games. Her previous clubs include Watford FC, West Ham Utd and Essex county rugby club. Kayleigh is also currently working with Luton Town Football Club
She is looking forward to working with the players and staff at Gloucester Athletic FC, a club that are passionate about promoting success on the pitch while being mindful of their players mental health and welfare.
Walter is a former professional footballer who signed his first contact at 17 with Servette de Geneve. He went on to play alongside Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, before his transfer to Millwall.
Walter has now been a player agent for over 10 years taking care of renowned players from the Premier league to League 2.
He has since started a Public Relations Company and represents professional athletes and football players such as Christian Karembu, Rino Gattuso and Ex West Ham Captain Julian Dicks.
When appointed the role Walter said “ I am very proud to work for this amazing new club and looking forward to bringing this club to the top!”
